In 2001 I was traveling to Crete(Greece) with my friend and my old Fujica film camera heritage from my parents. I lived there around 4 month during the summer season. We rent a room that was 3m from the beach in a small village called  Koutsouras,  the headquarters of the municipality of Makry Gialos with a view to the African coast. Villagers mostly worked on olives fields from mornings till nights. I was working in a tavern cleaning kitchen  every morning  from the leftovers of the previous night. We were communicating with hand gestures. They were giving us food, vegetables and fruits from there garden and also loved are company. They are on the photo bellow knitting.
